My name is Dave and welcome to my little corner of MOCpages. I've finally made Stacy get her own MOCpages account so that she can be properly commended for her awesome MOC's. You check out her page here. So...a little about me. I'm 29 years old and from the West Coast of Wisconsin. I've been married to Stacy (7 years now) and we've both been LEGO fans all our lives. The past few years (starting in 2003, I think), we really got back into building and became more actively involved with the Adult Fan of LEGO Community. In the summer of 2008, we attended our first LEGO convention (Brickworld 2008) and took our layout to two different shows. Since then, we continue to expand our layout and have made it to a few different shows. My interests are mainly Trains, Town, and Star Wars. I throw in a little Classic Space, Exo-Force, Castle/Fantasy and other random-ness just to keep things interesting. When I build, I don't really shoot for any 'scale'. My goal is to have my MOC's and layout evoke the feeling of the sets produced in the 1980's and 1990's as those are the sets I grew up with. We've also started our own personal LUG dubbed ToT-LUG and you can catch our train layout (now 12.5' x 18') in person at the La Crosse Model Train Show and Brickworld each year.
Our ever evolving building "lair/cave/dungeon" in our basement is nearly finished and I will be posting more pictures in the 'Lego Creations' folder. It consists of a 2'x6' building table with a backing for pull-out drawers. We also updated Stacy's building area and she has a 2' x 8' building table with pull-out Plano storage boxes. Last summer, we changed our tables to the PNLTC-style 30" x 30" modules and I also built a 3' x 4' building table for myself. This summer, we added more of the 30" x 30" tables and I finally got my Star Wars tables built! We'll post pictures as the construction process continues so keep checking back!
If you care what we do outside of being psychotic LEGO fanatics, you can also check out our online journal here and our photos page here and here. There is a lot of random stuff here from some of our other hobbies. We probably don't update it as much as we should...but whatever.
